OUT PEOPLE OF COLOR POLITICAL ACTION CLUB
TO HOLD SPECIAL ENDORSEMENT MEETING


Members to Select New York City Mayor, Comptroller,
Public Advocate, City Council and Manhattan District Attorney,
and selected City Council Races

The Out People of Color Political Action Club (OutPOCPAC) will hold a special
meeting to decide the club’s official endorsements for New York City Mayor,
Comptroller, Public Advocate and Manhattan District Attorney. The group may also
consider selected City Council races across the five boroughs, to be determined.

This meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, from 6:30 – 8:00
pm, at the Latino Commission on AIDS, 24 West, 25th Street, 9th Floor, New York,
NY 10010.

Voting at the meeting is open only to members of the club who are lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgendered and two-spirit (LGBTTS) people of color who live and can vote
in New York. New members however are welcome to attend and join at the meeting.

OutPOCPAC is a New York City based non-partisan, political club of lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgendered and two-spirit (LGBTTS) People of Color and our allies. It
is committed to raising the awareness of elected officials and candidates for public office
around issues of primary importance to us and increasing the number of elected officials
from our community. We seek to educate and unite our diverse communities around a
progressive and multi-faceted agenda of racial, economic, sexual and gender justice.
OutPOCPAC makes political endorsements and takes positions on public issues. The club
was formed in 2001.
